Kings Town is a coastal city of largely wooden buildings and homes, with a rich and ancient history.  The Kings of the Southern Shores originated from Kings Town.  The surrounding area has some of the largest concentrations of farms in all of the area and a rich, powerful port which allows large ships to come to rest offshore and send barges laden with goods to the older docks ashore.  This allows large merchant houses to transport their wares north or south along the King's Road, avoiding pirates and other city-state robbers.  Kings Town is the 2nd largest port  in the Southern Shores, next to Stardock. Many of the most influential people live outside the city, however the enormous warehouses in the King's Stores district allow for these powerful merchants to keep food coming north up the Kings Road and to influence the prices in Stardock.

At the heart of the city is the enormous Rohnar Mansion, Ancestral home of the Kings of the Southern Shores. The gardens at the entrance to the city, along with the rows of fertile fruit trees at the city gates and in front of the Mansion speak to the stability in the area. These old grove fruit trees carry much history and the native population considers a large fruit harvest to be a good sign for the winter.  The Massive Kings Town Garrison can house a small army and the ports are large enough to take that army to sea if need be.

While the lack of services have long plagued the denizens of the city, small shacks line the northeast edge of the, as many families make a living in these shanty buildings working the docks.  These unfortunate souls rarely live much outside this small area, as they are born, work the docks and then retire to the Kings Town Necropolis, a dark and quiet area to the North of the city.  The Necropolis is the charge of the Topgaliant of the Cathedral of the Seas, who looks after his flock during and after their lives.  The Light of the Sea  has been the official religion of the Southern Shores Kings for generation, and it's typical that a member of the family serves as Topgaliant.  For the last 70 years, however, Topgaliant Callidor has served that post.  Some say he is the most powerful man in Kings Town.  Some say....
